What happens at a search party?

Volunteers meet at a designated time and place and are notified of which areas are to be searched. Lost pet posters are provided to be used as flyers and can be placed in mailboxes to raise neighbourhood awareness.

Who is in charge?

Usually, the owner of the lost pet will organize everything and decide which areas need to be searched. The pet’s owner will likely ask you to cover a certain street or specific area.

How long does a search party last?

For as long as it takes to cover the area or for as long as you can spare your time.

Will I know if the pet gets found?

The pet’s owner will report the pet as found on blanketID.com and you will receive an email.

Please note: respect other people’s property and boundaries. Do not trespass or cause nuisance.
